Set equal to your best guess of the fact’s half-life. In ‣ Memrise, the first quiz occurs four hours after first learning a fact; in ‣ Anki, it’s a day after. To mimic these, set to four hours or a day, respectively. In my apps, I set initial to a quarter-hour (fifteen minutes).
